About Carmen Erazo

Carmen works with Beneficio San Vincente, a dry mill and exporter that has driven Santa Barbara’s growth within specialty coffee, and has been essential in connecting individual farmers like Carmen to roasters like us. His farm is incredibly special—walk through and you'll find yourself within a forest of decades-old Pacas trees atop soft mulch created by dead leaves, branches, insects, and other naturally occurring soil nutrients and fungi.

GGET Coffee Geography

Ray of Light

Grown under a dense canopy of shade trees in the mountain of Santa Barbara above the town of Las Vegas, Carmen's coffee trees—Bourbon, Catuaí, and Pacas here—receive only a glimmer of light on the forest floor and produce just a tiny quantity of coffee fruit each year—which we're so lucky to have obtained! The coffee's rich soil, protective shade, and patient, methodical processing bring out its incredibly sweet, nuanced flavors.
