About Jaime Muñoz

It’s our second year purchasing coffee from Jaime and we’re proud to have purchased 100% of his harvest from two small farms he has in different parts of Santa Barbara Mountain. Jaime belongs to a family that has been dedicated to coffee for many generations; his father taught him the value of work and the passion for coffee. After finishing high school, Jaime started working in a garment factory near the city. After five years of hard work, Jaime’s brother-in-law suggested he work as a farm manager. Fast forward, Jaime and his brother-in-law purchased a farm of their own in the El Cielito area of Santa Barbara Mountain, which is very well known for quality. While we’re still in the early stages of the relationship, we’re already seeing significant quality gains even after only the first year. Jaime’s coffees this year are uniformly sweeter and more expressive as compared to last year.
