We Heart Peru

Bean Line

This past September, near the end of their harvest season, we took our first trip to Peru to source coffee. In the Red Fox Coffee Merchants lab, we were able to taste a vast selection of high quality coffees from all around the country, many of which we've featured this year. This newest offering is from Cesar Callo Yupanqui, and stood out for its super clean cup and resonating sweetness.

GGET Coffee Geography

Growing the Growers

Coffees from Cusco always seem to be among our favorites from Peru. Nestled in the Yanatile valley in the country's south, Pampa Mesapata is part of the Valle Inca producer group led by Prudencio Vargas Saenz, who founded and oversees the group. Through Prudencio's experience as an agricultural loan officer, he is able to assist producers like Cesar Yupanqui with re-investing premiums into the community’s infrastructure to help them continue to improve quality.
