Alberto Pablo's La Paya, Guatemala

Alberto Pablo’s La Paya, Guatemala

A coffee that unfolds anew on each sip, this mini-lot took first place in a regional competition—and our hearts. We taste ripe mango and fir, then currants and candied grapefruit—but it changes every time!

About Alberto Pablo La Playa

This is our first year buying Alberto Pablo's coffee, and we're beyond thrilled to have obtained all eight bags of this extremely limited and special lot. Alberto is—like his neighbor producer Santos Pablo, no relation—part of El Sendero Co-op, which focuses on gender equality among coffee growers and especially supports young coffee producers. We love this offering for its sweetness and prismatic, ever-shifting flavor profile.
