About Caballero Catuaí

Husband and wife coffee producers Marysabel Caballero and Moises Herrera have been producing coffee together since 1993, and are themselves fourth generation coffee farmers. Their partnership has brought us some of the most esteemed coffees coming out of Marcala, Honduras, an area southeast of Santa Barbara near the border of El Salvador. As producers, the couple represents a pinnacle of possibility for other specialty-focused farmers in Honduras.

Walking the Walk

Marysabel and Moises constantly reinvest in their sustainability efforts, and recently completely relocated their wet mill operations as well as transitioned to mechanical washing in order to reduce water use and minimize risk of water supply contamination. Their more than 35 farms over 150 hectares makes them one of the largest independent operations we work with, and we're thrilled to see their meaningful commitment to the environment—they put their money where their mouths are.
