El Santuario, Honduras
We're incredibly excited to offer Donaldo Murcia's sweet, ripe coffee as a single origin once again. Cherry-sweet and syrupy with passionfruit highlights and a light milk-chocolate-almond sweetness, what's not to love?

Finca El Santuario is the only farm we named ourselves. When we first met Donaldo Murcia, he was producing specialty coffee after years of selling to the conventional market. He had no idea what to call his farm—he'd never needed to name it! So we made the hike 200 meters upward from his brother’s farm, and found ourselves in an oasis of Pacas trees, flowers, and butterflies. We began to call it El Santuario, and the name stuck.
At 1780masl, El Santuario is an ideal spot for growing Pacas. It’s nestled into the mountainside, surrounded by forest and protected from harsh weather. The climate contributes to this unique and lovely cup: it's syrupy in texture with a pronounced tropical sweetness. We're confident that we still haven’t seen Donaldo realize the full potential of Finca El Santuario and that even though we love his coffee already—we think the best is yet to come.
