What is Natural Processing?

Here at GGET, we primarily serve coffees that go through a washed process, meaning that after being picked, the coffee cherry has all of the fruit around the bean removed before being dried and sent to roast.

That being said, we do love serving coffee that goes through a natural process from time to time. Natural processed coffee is when the cherry is removed from the tree and instantly set out to dry which can cause fermentation. In these coffees, you’ll taste more wine-like and complex flavors in your cup due to the inherent essence being present through the roasting process.

If you’re interested in trying a natural processed coffee from us, check out our Limao Rosa from Brazil! You’ll taste notes of wine, chocolate covered raisins, and lime in this specially selected bag.
