ABOUT ROGER VASQUEZ
We're thrilled to share this limited microlot from Roger Vásquez, one of our earliest producer relationships in Santa Barbara, Honduras. Year after year, his coffee showcases delicate florals and a complex, lingering sweetness—like blackberry preserves and dried mango.
We began working with Roger in 2018, when his farm’s first harvest yielded just two bags of green coffee. At the time, he relied on borrowed space at El Ocotillo (the same farm where Natividad Benitez grows coffee) for processing. Since then, he’s built his own tiled wet mill, planted over 500 Yellow Catuai, Pacas, and Bourbon trees, and is working toward expanding his land.
Seeing our partners grow their farms sustainably—moving beyond survival to real progress—is what excites us most. Roger’s meticulous care for his farm is evident, though he’s currently battling coffee leaf rust ("Roya") in the lower sections. With input costs high, addressing it is a challenge, but his dedication remains unwavering.
