ABOUT GACHATHA
Located on the volcanic soils of Mt Kenya, Gachatha factory was founded in 1963, and has grown its membership to just over 1500 contributing smallholder farmers. Almost all of the members live within a 20-mile radius of Gachatha. Although there are other options in the area, Gachatha will attract by paying a slightly higher price to producers for their cherries.
Excellent sorting standards and long fermentation times lend this coffee its intense fruity characteristics and jammy acidity.
